After Derby we move down to Broome also an old Pearling Town. Broome is 2385km Nth of Perth
The Tropical Palms, Sunny weather, it looked like a wonderful stopover for a couple of weeks relaxing in the sun.
Cable Beach is what Broome in known for, and it is a beautiful beach with lovely sunsets, although the days were cloudless, I still managed to get a sunset photo, but really clouds are necessary for the best results
There was plenty to see around Broome but most of it one needed a 4x4 again. However we managed to get a boat to do some fishing in a tidal creek, for some crabs maybe?,, and a few fish, hopefully,, the locals outshone us in the fishing game,
They caught at least 20 good size fish,, and we got NONE Lol. must be a knack eh? and we were only 30feet away from them
We Stayed at the Cable Beach Big4 Caravan Park, and was not impressed at all,, the Park area was White gravel and No Trees al all for shade,, gave it 2 out of 10.
At $28 a night.. It was B**. Awful
However we enjoyed Broome in general, but it is solely for tourists: not my cup o tea...Caught my first Crab.. delicious, A cruise ship came into port while we were there a
Massive Cruise Ship take a look
A S.E. Asia Cruise,, who's coming aboard?
We Packed up and decided to get going after spending a week in this Park, there had to be somewhere better
We headed down south another 500k to 90 Mile Beach, and that was an oasis in the desert,, absolutely beautiful. lovely and green and good fishing as a bonus got my first fish for the trip, a 34'' threadfin Salmon,, tasted delicious.. made 4 great meal for us as we
travelled the Wallaby (The Road)
We spent a great 5 days fishing the beach, doing some trips around the area, generally making up for the disappointment of Broome. It is a great Caravan Park right on the beach.
