is Australia's Biggest and Wealthiest Gold Town, There has been over 5 Billion dollars worth of Gold that has come out of the underground and now Open Cut mines in the Kalgoorlie Goldfields Area of over 100 sq Miles Plus. Including Boulder, Kalgoorlie, Elanora, and other Mines and cuts and even just surface in the area,
A Visit to the gold smelter was very informative as we saw a gold ingot (In Arleen's Hand) get smelted down and got a full story while it was going on. I had to prize Arleen's Hand open before we could leave:) She thought that she could have a souvenir.
I had my Metal Detector with me,, But Home Time was paramount Lol, after about Three Months on the road.
We went trough to Royal Flying Service Airport Reception center, watched a great video of what they are about, climbed into the Aircraft and saw the space that the Medico work in, boy they do a fantastic job, they planes they use now are costing $5.5 Million, and are equipped with all the latest technology ,
We spent one night in Kalgoorlie, and had a little look at the night life there,, the ladies of the night, and the "Skimpies" as they are known in the Bars, , Unfortunately, I was dragged away by the scruff of the neck, by you know who ! :)
We went down a disused mine to only 800ft but that was well worth the experience to see the conditions that the Miners used to work under,
We leave the next morning to take on the Nullabore, and hopefully to see, the Southern White Wales, as we traverse the 'Great Australian Bight'
Onto the Last Leg to Home Travelled 16800 k so far, only about 3000k to go
