We set off from Home on the 18th May 2006 - and returned on the 23rd of July 2006. While we have done the complete around Oz before, we wanted to visit places that we had missed on the previous trip. Then we were towing with a V8 Ford sedan and a 65 litre petrol tank, I had made a promise that the next trip around I will have a Diesel Prado with 180 litre Fuel Tank, to enable us to go where we wanted to go, but there was no fuel. Before, the fuel capacity was not enough to get the these outback spots and back to some large towns where fuel was available at realistic prices

We followed the west coast down to Dongara, before cutting across country via the wheat belt, through Mingenew, Three Springs, Dalwallinu here we met a Kangaroo that took a liking
to my off side rear mudguard. GRRRR, and joined the western Highway at Southern Cross.
After patching up the rear guard with Duct Tape, that got us home via the Nullabor Plains, and saw over 50 Whales in the Bight at Yalata Lookout.. That was a terrific experience to see Mum and her new born calf.
From here our last stop away from home was Swan Hill, a beautiful Town alongside the Great Murray River.
